A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'

17th May 2007. Started to fit roof to cabin.

I have abandoned my geometric approach and am using the original method described to me by Doug Elliott.

The side deck width is constant and the top edge of the cabin side is straight. The problem is that this produces a roof shape that is three dimensional and the ply will only fit a two dimensional shape. At the front, where the cabin sides curve inwards (following the side deck) there is a gap which requires the roof to be forcible bent down.
