A record of the renovation of a
Wooden Drascombe Longboat 'Otter'

10th September 2007.

Started mending rot and removed roof.

I took the opportunity to cut away the rotten wood between the transom and the mizzen hole.

Replaced the wood but made one side solid so that I could make the starboard rear locker watertight. Then I wouldn't petrol fumes from the port rear locker where I keep the tank.

Whilst waiting for epoxy to set I removed the cabin top. I will replace it with one that is lower at the aft bulkhead so that I can see where I am going whilst sailing.
